Recovery at Home After a Stroke
Stroke affects individuals differently depending on severity and location in the brain. Common challenges include weakness or paralysis, difficulty with speech, cognitive changes, fatigue, and difficulty with daily tasks that were once automatic.
Recovering at home — with the right support — is associated with better outcomes for many stroke survivors.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can Agape caregivers assist during physical or occupational therapy sessions?
Agape caregivers provide personal care and daily living support — they do not provide therapy. They can accompany your loved one to therapy appointments and support home exercise routines as directed by their therapist.
How soon after a stroke can care begin?
Often within 24–72 hours of your call. We understand that stroke recovery care often begins with an urgent transition home. Call (949) 690-9990 and we will work to move quickly.
Will the same caregiver come each time?
We prioritize consistency, especially for stroke recovery clients where familiarity supports cognitive recovery. We assign a primary caregiver and do our best to maintain that consistency.
